Every year Mumbai host more than 45,000 flamingo’s to our eastern seafront of Mumbai. I am gonna list the best places to Watch flamingo in Mumbai.
Well this year the Bombay Natural history Society (BNHS) has found that more than 1.6lakh for these beautiful pink birds migrated to Mumbai (times of India) .
So the question arises, where can i see flamingos in mumbai? are there are any good place to spot them.
1: Thane Airoli Creek flamingo sanctuary.

The sanctuary was opened on 1st may 2017 it also includes “The coastal & marine biodiversity Centre”.
After the Construction work in Sewri jetty has affected the attraction of flamingos but they have found a new place here.
This is the best place I would recommend anyone to go and in past few years this place has become the hotspot for Flamingo
Address: Coastal and marine biodiversity Centre. 2/mangrove forest, Sector 10, diva nagar Rd, airoli, Navi Mumbai, 400708.
Timings: morning to evening (10:00am to 6:00pm).
2: Seawoods Navi Mumbai

This spot not know to much people as this spot has recently become a main hotspot for flamingo. Frankly speaking Navi-mumbai has become a hotspot for flamingo lately there many more spots but this one spot which is kind of a small pond with thousands of dozen of birds.
Hands-down one of the best places to watch flamingo in Mumbai
Me and my friends we were hanging out on a pleasant evening where we saw flock of pink birds
We were just amazed to see such a great view. For anyone who stays in Navi Mumbai this is the best place to visit to spot flamingo’s.
No need for any entry fee or boat just go with your friends and enjoy the view.
Address : Seawoods, sector 32, Navi Mumbai 400706.

3: Bhandup Pumping station

The best way to spot birds here are by taking bird watching tours. There are some tour group offering trips to get a better view. They take you on a boat that can seat 12-16 people for closer look.
A lot of wild life enthusiasts and photographers come here armed with binoculars and camera every year to get a good glimpse of these beauties.
With these year attracting more flamingos I would suggest this place a must visit.
Address: mulund East, Mumbai, 400042.
Landmark: once you reach bhandup pumping station just walk inside as the road goes on.

4: Sewri Mudflat.

This place is the first time I saw flamingo when I was a kid. The location from where people used to get a mesmerizing view of flamingos has been restricted now.
Since MMRDA begun working on ‘Mumbai trans Harbour Link’ (MTHL) this place is showing less and less attraction every year.
It was once the highest visited with maximum flamingos in between November and May. Flamingos has taken a back foot of about 100 meters away from its regular locations to keep away from the disturbance of construction.
I would still suggest this place because you don’t have to pay here to get a view of flamingos here unlike the first two locations.
If at all anyone visits here I would recommend two locations here, you never know where you get a good view of these birds
Address 1: Sewri mangrove Park. (Pier)
Mpt, Sewri, Mumbai, 400015
Address 2: Sewri Ford Road, Behind Colgate
Office, Mpt, Sewri, Mumbai 400015.
Conclusion
These are the best place I would recommend bird watching enthusiasts or any one who wants to spot the migrants.
Let me know if you guys have any new or unknown locations.
