1. Kalsubai

     Starting with the highest peak of Maharashtra and the Sahyadri mountains is Kalsubai, a part of the Kalsubai Harishchandragad sanctuary. 

    The best experience here is in the rainy season. With Lush green scenery, hazy clouds, and amazing waterfalls. 

    The trekking route attracts a large number of adventurers, coming to conquer the highest peak in Maharashtra.

     2. Rajmachi Trek

Rajmachi Fort is one of the many historical forts in the rugged hills of the Sahyadri mountains. Trek to the Rajmachi Fort is very scenic, located around 15km from Lonavala, and is one of the Best trekking spots for monsoon from Mumbai.

 It offers a comparatively easy trek and may be approached via Karjat or Lonavala. Both routes are surrounded by lush green forests and magnificent valleys.

      Rajgad Fort is an iconic place located near Pune. The place is historic and attracts many tourists to it. 

Trek is strenuous and takes every bit of effort from you from the start itself, but the Views are obviously breathtaking and worth every bit of effort.

 In the rainy season, especially when it is raining, the ropeway crosses a waterfall and you have a mesmerizing view of the waterfall.

    4. Lohagarh Trek

 Perched atop an impressive hill near Malavali, this destination is the perfect amalgam of ancient architecture and natural beauty. 

Unlike other forts, it has stone steps leading right to the top of the fort which makes it easy even for a novice climber. 

The view from the fort is breathtaking; one can see the Pauna Lake lying lazily below.

5. Vikatgad Fort trek

This fort is situated in lush green Neral near Matheran. There are multiple routes leading to Peb Fort/ Vikatgad.

 The focus of attraction here is the only standing Bastion or ‘Burj’ facing the ‘Panorama point’ of Matheran. The 360-degree view of valleys on both sides will surely leave you spellbound. 

Trek here is not easy, especially in monsoon, the upper patch gets narrow and one must be very careful.

 You will find nothing but Nature at its purest best when you start climbing.

6. Korigad Fort Trek

Korigad is a beautiful hill fort located at around 20 km from Lonavala near Amby Valley. Some of the structures on the fort are still intact and the views that one would get from the top are just splendid.

One finds two lakes upon reaching the top of the fort. The best view is of the iconic waterfall of korigad, its a feast to the eye.

7. Prabalgad Trek

A trek to Prabalgad is perfect for those who enjoy adventure and the way to the fort is a dangerously steep climb. The steps leading up to the fort are cut into the rock of the hill. 

Reaching the fort is one of the toughest trekking challenges in Maharashtra and only if you are an experienced trekker should you go for this trek.
